Overview of Institute

 
Buraq IT School (BITS) was established in 1992 to offer the specialized computer training programs. Qualified staff with state of the art training & computing facilities made BITS a hallmark training center of the region.

 


In 2000, BITS became an Approved Study Center (ASC) of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Pakistan for commencement of Computer Science, Information Technology and Management Science; Under Graduate, Graduate and Post Graduate courses. Allama Iqbal Open University & BITS have a firm belief in meeting the present and future needs.  
It maintains experienced trainers who went through a difficult training regime. It holds the instructors to the highest standards. Unlike other training facilities, the instructors are not kept in the classroom all the time. They must also get real-world experience through consulting in addition to teaching. This enables them for easy solutions of student questions.

For over 16 years, BITS has delivered the greatest range and depth of content-centered learning solutions. The integrated learning approach goes beyond everyday coursework, providing a complete method of training, reinforcing, supporting and validating.

The institute constantly provides quality training for research, and administrative activities. To achieve this goal, the institute delivers services that meet the BITS computing, information processing and technology needs. To continue the tradition of innovation and excellence, it provides leadership and assistance in developing policies and in planning for the effective use of technology.

Computer Labs
Two well equipped labs with following facilities are available:

  • Internet facility DSL based (1 Mbps)
  • Almost thirty computers in each lab
  • Multimedia Projector
  • Overhead Projector
  • HP LaserJet Color & Black Printer
  • Server (SQL Server, Oracle, Email, .Net, etc)
  • White Boards
Lecture Halls
Multimedia driven lecture rooms:

  • Six class rooms
  • Capacity of room forty to fifty students
Conference Room
Conference Room with following facilities:
  • Seating arrangement for 20-25 persons
  • Multimedia Projector
